Women's Track & Field Posts Outstanding Performances At Al Owens Classic

Gordon breaks 800m school record for second straight week.

DETROIT -- The Wayne State University women's outdoor track and field squad concluded competition at the GVSU Al Owens Classic on Saturday with some top performances.

Graduate student Emily Gordon broke the WSU 800m record for the second straight week. All told five individual all-time top-10 marks were set on Saturday, plus the 4x100m relay which ran the fastest time by a WSU quartet in 10 years. On Friday, junior Nicole Warren notched the fifth-best mark in the triple jump at 11.36m.
