WASHINGTON, Mich. -- Hosting the inaugural Warrior Invitational at The Orchards Golf Club, the Wayne State University women's golf team is in first place for the nine-team field after day one.  WSU fired a 308 (+20) on Monday and was paced individually by Claudia Portillo (Madrid, Spain / IES Ortega y Gassett) in first of 51 players with an even 72.

"It was a really solid first round for us today," said head coach Larry Hamilton.  "We are really looking forward to keeping that momentum into tomorrow."
