DETROIT -- The Wayne State University swimming and diving teams took care of business on Senior Day 2025, sweeping Division III Calvin inside the Matthaei Natatorium. The 21st-ranked men defeated No. 7 Calvin 112.5-90.5 while the 19th-ranked women were triumphant over the No. 17 Knights 118-84.
"This was a fun event, and kicking off the meet with our senior recognition was amazing," said head coach
Sean Peters. "These 13 seniors are honor roll students, about five of them are already in grad school, finishing faster than the usual four-year span, and they are great leaders within our program, department and university. They are the story today, and today is their day. We did our best to make today a wonderful final meet at Matthaei for them."
