Women's Soccer Selects Hasan Daoud As Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator

DETROIT -- Wayne State University women's soccer head coach Doug Steinard has selected Hasan "Has" Daoud as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the inaugural season of the Wayne State University women's soccer program.  He joined the staff of head coach Doug Steinard in October of 2025.

"I am very excited to add Hasan to our staff," remarked Steinard.  "Has adds more knowledge and passion to our program.  His ability to identify talent will help build our program for years to come.  Has and I have worked closely over the last three years and have a great coaching relationship.  He will be a great asset to our program both on and off the field."

"I'm excited and grateful to be part of building something special at Wayne State and I want to thank Doug for this opportunity," commented Daoud.  "Having worked together, I know the vision, drive, and standards we bring to this program will set a strong foundation for success.  I'm looking forward to working with the athletic department and student-athletes to help them become the best versions of themselves, on and off the field."

Daoud currently serves as the Michigan Jaguars Pro head coach for the Women's squad.  He teamed with Coach Steinard in 2023 to help the Jags win the national title.  He has served the last two summers (2024 and 2025) as the head coach of the Jags Pro team guiding the squad to the national final four both seasons of the United Women's Soccer League.

He began his coaching career in 2021 with the Dearborn Jags.

As a player, he helped Cedar FC win the 2024 Great Lakes title of the Midwest Premier League.  He is currently playing for Detroit United, while also attending Wayne State.

The Dearborn native graduated from Fordson High School in 2016 and is the son of Mariam and Mike Daoud.
