DETROIT -- The Wayne State University men's tennis team will travel to Cleveland State University to compete in the Viking Invitational at the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion. The invitational will be a three-day event, beginning on Friday, October 24, and concluding on Sunday, October 26.
LAST TIME OUT
Luis Klaus (Brühl, Germany) and
Harry Forsyth (Wamberal, New South Wales, Australia) saw action at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Cup a week ago (October 16-18). The duo earned an at-large bit after placing second at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships. Forsyth and Klaus collected a 1-2 ledger with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over a pairing from Midwestern State University.
TOURNAMENT OUTLOOK
The Green and Gold will be joined by Duquesne University, Niagara University, Youngstown State University, and host Cleveland State. The event will consist of both doubles and singles competitions, with 48 players on the singles side and 24 pairings for doubles.
