Giroux to Compete with USA Division II Volleyball Team in Brazil

DETROIT -- Wayne State University volleyball's Kayla Giroux (Flat Rock, Mich.) will compete with the USA Division II Volleyball Team during its tour in Brazil.  The WSU student-athlete is joined by 18 other Division II volleyball players from 12 different programs.

The team will be broken into two squads, a Blue Team and a Red Team.  Both squads will compete in a doubleheader in Jundiai on Tuesday, May 13, followed by another contest in Sao Paulo on Wednesday, May 14.  The teams will then travel to Rio de Janeiro to compete in an "International Challenge" on Saturday, May 17, in a pair of competitions against Fluminense and Barra Mansa Volei Clube.  Along with the matches, the squads will participate in youth clinics and will be able to visit different schools, sports clubs, and experience a variety of cities and cultures in Brazil.
