DETROIT -- Seven members of the 2024-25 Wayne State University women's tennis team boasted Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) All-Academic accolades. The seven total honorees is the second most in program history after the squad had eight in 2020-21. Over the last 23 seasons, the WSU women's tennis team has had 91 student-athletes garner All-Academic distinction.
Criteria states that the student-athlete must be an active member on the roster at the end of the season, and not a freshman or first-year transfer student.
Grade-point averages listed are calculated through the winter semester.

Shanice Weekes, Jr., London, England / Fortismere S.S., 3.91, World Languages, Literatures & Cultures Honors (second consecutive year on Excellence Team)

Ruyssen was voted a Second Team Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators (CSC) while Weekes garnered Academic All-District honors. Arafat, Beaulieu, Gorgidze, and and Ruyssen earned All-GLIAC marks with Arafat receiving the Sportsmanship Award and Ruyssen being tabbed as the conference's Player of the Year.
