Women's Swimming Inks Four Freestyle Swimmers

DETROIT -- The Wayne State University women's swimming and diving squad, under the direction of 29th-year head coach Sean Peters, has signed four freestyle swimmers for the 2025-26 academic year. The three incoming divers were announced on Sept. 3, and t hree multi-event swimmers were announced earlier this week.

The Warrior newcomers are Josey Coon (Livonia, Mich. / Franklin), Lily Lindower (Grand Rapids, Mich. / Northview), Kelsey Milz (Madison Heights, Mich. / Lamphere) and Lilian Ljuckanov (Whitby, Ont. / Anderson C.V.I.).

Josey Coon, 5-5, Fr., Sprint Free, Livonia, Mich. / Franklin
High School:  A 2025 graduate of Livonia Franklin High School ... was a four-year letterwinner for coaches Kayla Douglass and Melissa Flannigan ... competed at the MHSAA Division 2 state meet all four years - 100 fly first two seasons; 100 free and 200 free last two years ... won the 100 fly all four years at the Kensington Lakes Activities Association (KLAA) East Conference meet ... also claimed league titles in the 50 free (2022), 200 IM (2023) and 200 free (2024) ... swam personal-bests for 50 free - SCY (24.58) and 100 fly (58.09) at the 2025 MCSA Summer Senior Cup Championships, and the 100 free (52.91) the next day ... best 200 free time of 1:58.34 came at the 2023 MHSAA state meet ... served as a team captain as a senior ... was a three-year KLAA Scholar-Athlete ... graduated Summa Cum Laude ... was a member of the National Honor Society ... swims during the summer for dROP Aquatics.
