Women's Swimming Signs Three Multi-Event Swimmers

DETROIT -- The Wayne State University women's swimming and diving squad, under the direction of 29th-year head coach Sean Peters, has signed three swimmers who can compete in multiple events.  Another upcoming recruit story will feature the four freestyle swimmers, while the three incoming divers were announced on Sept. 3.

Joining the Warriors are Annika Cho (Farmington Hills, Mich. / Farmington), Scarlet Maison (Rose City, Mich. / Standish-Sterling) and Ava Zimmerman (East Lansing, Mich. / Haslett).

High School:
  A 2025 graduate of Farmington High School ... was a four-year varsity letterwinner for coach Kyle Kinyon ... spent a semester in 2023 at Gymnasium In der Wueste in her mother's hometown of Osnabrück, Germany ... broke the FHS record in the 100 back ... swam backstroke on the 200 medley relay champions at the 2023 MHSAA Division 2 State meet ... placed in the top eight at the state meet twice in the 200 IM (7th in 2023 - 2:11.99 in prelims; and 6th in 2024 - personal-best 2:09.99 in prelims), and once each in the 100 back (8th in 2024 - personal-best 58.94 prelims) and 100 breast (8th in 2023 - personal-best 1:07.15 in prelims) ... swam a personal-best (2:27.66) in the 200 breast at the 2025 MCSA Senior Cup ... was a two-year swimming team captain ... earned the Seal of Biliteracy ... swims during the summer for the Farmington Glen Aquatic Club and coach Drew Hansz.

  A 2025 graduate of Haslett High School ... was a four-year letterwinner for coach Robert Oliver ... holds the school record for 50 fly (27.58) and was a member of the 200 medley relay which set a school mark ... finished fifth in the 100 fly (in a personal-best time of 1:00.02) at the 2024 MHSAA Division 3 state meet, while also placing 14th in the 200 IM ... swam on three consecutive CAAC (Capital Area Activities Conference) 200 medley relay championship quartets for the Vikings ... won the 100 fly each of her last two season at the CAAC meet ... set a personal-best time in the 200 IM (2:19.26) at the 2024 CAAC Blue Division championship meet ... served as a team captain as a senior ... received NISCA (National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association) Academic All-America recognition ... was a four-time CAAC Academic All-Conference recipient ... swims during the summer for South Central Swimming.
