QUOTING HEAD COACH GRANT LOFDAHL
"The guys did a good job overall in some difficult conditions. When no one breaks the 26-minute mark in a decent-sized men's race 8K race, you know the course was running slow. Ishaan ran a strong race to lead the guys today, moving up well in the second half of the race and just missing a top-10 finish. Gabe started fast, fell back in the middle, and rallied late with a solid last three kilometers. Elijah and Aiden were only running their second 8K, and they worked together well and both ran impressively. Seth was actually using this race as a workout, as several of our other top guys sat out and did a long workout on the course yesterday, and he kicked it in late to be our final scorer. We've had some tough circumstances out of our control to deal with this fall, but the guys are keeping a positive mindset and staying focused on their goals. With our home invite on deck and championship season just around the corner, I'm optimistic that we can finish the season strong."
