Eight Members of the Men's and Women's Cross Country Programs Named USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes

DETROIT -- Eight members of the Wayne State University men's and women's cross country teams were named All-Academic Athletes, as announced by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Thursday, January 29.  In addition to the individuals garnering accolades, the men's and women's squads received All-Academic Team distinctions.

The women's team cumulative grade-point average (GPA) was 3.55, while the men's was a 3.50 (tied-for-42nd).

The five student-athletes from the women's squad are Robin Bresolin (LaSalle, Ont. / St. Thomas of Villanova), Anna Gdowski (Northville, Mich.), Aubrey Migoski (Wyandotte, Mich. / Roosevelt), Ava Peters (Livonia, Mich. / Franklin), and Emilee Rudlaff (Kalamazoo, Mich. / Central).  The three individuals from the men's side are Glen Davis (Burtchville, Mich. / Port Huron Northern [SC4/Spring Arbor]), Sean Pettis (Fremont, Mich.), and Jared Platt (White Lake, Mich. / White Lake Lakeland).

Bresolin, an Environmental Science major has earned the honor twice (2024, 2025), while being named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term GPA 3.5+) eight times, and to the Coach's Honor Roll (term GPA 3.0-3.49) once.  Bresolin is a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and served as the Chair of the Community Service and Fundraising Committee during the 2024-25 academic year, while serving as co-Chair in 2025-26 of the Community Service Subcommittee.  She is also a member of the WSU Student Leadership Council and was inducted into WSU's Inaugural Chi Alpha Sigma Athlete Honor Society class.  Bresolin finished 28th at the GLIAC Championships and placed 42nd at the NCAA Midwest Regional.

Davis, a Technology, Information Systems and Analytics major, was named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term GPA 3.5+) in the fall of 2025, his first semester at WSU.  Davis won the Wayne Sate hosted Warrior Challenge by a 25-second margin, with a time of 25:08.40.  He earned Second Team All-GLIAC honors after a 14th-place finish (25:48.80) at the league meet and finished 29th at the NCAA Regionals/

Exercise and Sport Science major Gdowski has garnered Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term GPA 3.5+) accolades a trio of times, while being named to the Coach's Honor Roll (term GPA 3.0-3.49) twice.  The redshirt sophomore placed 43rd at the conference meet, while finishing 76th at the regional race.  She was a 2024-25 recipient of the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award and was named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team.  Gdowski placed 43rd at the GLIAC Championship sand 76th at the NCAA Midwest Regional.

Migoski has been named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term GPA 3.5+) seven times and was an inductee into WSU's inaugural (2024-25) Chi Alpha Sigma Athlete Honor Society class.  This is her second time earning USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete honors (2024-25).  The Nursing major has been named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team twice.  Migoski finished 48th at the conference championships and placed 69th at the NCAA Midwest Regional.

Peters was named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term GPA 3.5+) in her first semester as a Warrior (Fall 2025), while majoring in Environmental Science.  She nabbed a second-place finish at the Warrior Challenge, earned a Second Team All-GLIAC nod after placing 15th at the league meet, and finished 28th at the NCAA Midwest Regional race.

Pettis, an Information Technology major, has collected his second USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete honors.  He earned Second Team All-GLIAC accolades after placing 18th at the conference meet and nabbed a 37th-place finish at the regional race.  The 2024 WSU Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Year has been named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term GPA 3.5+) three times.

Platt was a 2024-25 recipient of the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award and was named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team last year.  The Exercise and Sport Science major has been named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term GPA 3.5+) four times, and to the Coach's Honor Roll (term GPA 3.0-3.49) once.  The junior was a Second Team All-GLIAC honoree, placing 20th at the conference race, and garnered All-Region recognition for a 21st-place performance at the NCAA Midwest Regional.

Rudlaff, a Nursing major, has been named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term GPA 3.5+) for three semesters.  The sophomore tallied a 32nd-place finish at the GLIAC Championship and finished 70th at the NCAA Midwest Regional.

Individual - In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-30 percent of their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.

Team - In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period and compile a team score at their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.
