Women's Indoor Track & Field In Fifth Place After Opening Day Of GLIAC Championships

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. -- The Wayne State University women's indoor track and field squad is in fifth place with 17 points after the opening day of the 2026 GLIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.

The Warrior highlight for day one was the Distance Medley Relay claiming the GLIAC title edging out GVSU by .05 (11:44.96 to 11:45.01). It was the first time WSU had finished higher than third (2023 and 2025) in the DMR at the GLIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships.
