WSU Represented At Ontario Track and Field Championships

McCarty wins javelin; Rudling takes second place in 2000m steeplechase.

WINDSOR, Ont. -- One current Wayne State University women's track and field athlete, plus one newcomer competed earlier this month (July 8th) at the Ontario Track and Field Championships held at the iconic Alumni Stadium in Windsor.

Ella McCarty, who was the 2026 GLIAC Champion in the javelin, took first place in the U-20 event with a throw of 40.53m. Ella was representing the Real North Athletics Club.

Incoming freshman Emma Rudling took second place in the 2000m steeplechase with a time of 7:14.19. She was representing the Windsor Legion T.F.C.
