DETROIT -- The Wayne State University men's tennis program opens its season at the Everybody vs. Cancer Invitational hosted by Toledo.  The Warriors are set to face Case Western Reserve, Grand Valley State, IU Indy, Tiffin and host Toledo.  First serve of the three-day tournament is set for Friday at 10 a.m. with two playing locations:  the UT Varsity Tennis Courts and Shadow Valley Tennis Club. 

WSU is coming off an impressive 2025-2026 campaign where they competed in the GLIAC tournament finals against #22 Ferris State and reached the NCAA Midwest Regionals where they fell to #30 Northwood.  

To begin his 19th season at the helm, head coach Bryan Morrow returns eight athletes from his 2025-2026 roster (seven letterwinners) and welcomes a pair of newcomers in two freshmen:  Valentin Moraisin (Chatou, Yvelines, France / Passy Saint Honore) and Matthew Morrow (Rochester Hills, Mich. / Rochester).
