Former Warrior Jared Troyer is a volunteer assistant coach for the 2007-08 season.
2006-07: NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP: Earned five All-America honors, three First Team and two Honorable Mention ... finished eighth in the 1000 free (9:32.10) and seventh in the 200 fly (1:52.63) ... swam the third leg of the seventh-place 800 free relay (6:53.68) ... placed 13th in the 400 individual medley (4:07.59) and ninth in the 1650 free (16:11.54). GLIAC CHAMPIONSHIP: Won the 400 individual medley and made an NCAA "A" cut (4:03.94) ... finished second in the 200 butterfly (1:52.81) and fourth in the 1650 free (16:06.65) ... led off the second-place 800 free relay (6:50.82) which set a WSU record.
2005-06: NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP: Earned All-America First Team honors in the 500 yard freestyle, posting a time of 4:36.44, good for eighth place ... was also a four-time honorable mention All-America ... placed ninth in the 1000 yard freestyle (9:29.02) tenth in the 1650 freestyle (16:03.61), and 11th in the 400 yard IM (4:04.16) ... swam the opening leg on the 800 yard freestyle relay which finished 14th in a time of 7:03.38. GLIAC CHAMPIONSHIP: Finished second in the 400 IM (4:03.92) ... placed third in the 1650 free (16:18.87) earning 16 points ... finished sixth in the 200 fly (1:55.53) earning 13 points ... was a member of the second place 800 free relay team (6:59.43) of Veiga, Leix and Rzepa.
2004-05: NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP: Qualified for NCAAs in a team-high five individual events ... a four-time All-American honorable mention recipient for 10th place in the 1650 Freestyle (15:55.72), 14th place in the 500 Freestyle (4:37.82) and 15th place in the 400 IM (4:07.30) ... was 20th in the 1000 free (9:42.01) ... a member of the 11th-place 800 Free Relay team with David Lutz, Christian Erard and Bruno Blanco that set a varsity record (6:51.77). GLIAC CHAMPIONSHIP: Placed third in both the 400 IM (4:08.13) and 200 butterfly (1:55.09) ... also earned conference first-team honors for his fifth place in the 1000 free (9:43.64) and the third-place 800 free relay team (6:57.89).
2003-04: GLIAC CHAMPIONSHIP: Placed second in both the 400 IM (4:09.31) and 200 butterfly (1:55.79) ... also earned First Team All-GLIAC honors for his fourth place in the 200 IM (1:58.71) ... a member of the GLIAC champion 400 medley relay team (3:28.87) and the second-place 800 free relay team (7:02.41).
High School: A 2003 graduate of Portage Central ... earned four varsity swimming letters for coach Jim Schafer ... wsa the conference champion all four years in the 200 IM and the 500 free ... was a four-year state qualifier and a two-time all-state selection ... recipient of the 2002 and 2003 John Munley Memorial Award ... earned the Michigan Merit Award (MEAP) ... swims for the Portage Aquatic Club.
