Each NCAA institution is charged with establishing a student-athlete advisory committee (NCAA Constitution, Article 2.D.1.g). Wayne State University's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is composed of at least two student-athletes from each of our varsity athletic teams, with some teams having additional "at-large" representatives. All student-athletes are encouraged to utilize SAAC as a conduit for communication throughout the department. If you have questions, concerns, feedback, or ideas regarding the WSU student-athlete experience, speak with your team's SAAC representative and they will bring it to the greater committee.Â
WSU SAAC MISSION STATEMENT AND PURPOSE: The mission of the WSU SAAC is to enhance the student-athlete voice and the holistic student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity for all student-athletes; protecting and enhancing student-athlete welfare; and fostering a positive student-athlete presence on campus and in the greater Detroit community. The well-being of WSU student-athletes shall drive and inform the purpose of WSU SAAC. Â
