Junior Andreea Mitrache (Sterling Heights, Mich. / Warren Cousino) helped the Wayne State University women's tennis team begin the season 2-0 with wins at the top flight of singles against Ashland and Walsh. She topped her couterpart from Ashland 6-1, 6-2 and bested her Walsh opponent 6-1, 6-0. In addition, she paired with Alex Poissant for two victories at No. 2 doubles.
