Khalil Ben Ajmia was named GLIAC Swimmer of the Year and GLIAC Freshman of the Year on Monday night following the four-day league championships. Ben Ajmia won two individual events including the 500 free in 4:19.23 (NCAA A Cut & GLIAC Overall Record) and 1650 free in 15:06.46 (NCAA A Cut & GLIAC Meet Record). Also individually, the rookie placed third in the 200 free (1:36.74 - NCAA B Cut) and eighth in the 1000 free (9:21.76 - NCAA B Cut). Relay wise, the first-year Warrior was a member of the 800 free relay (second, 6:31.93 - NCAA B Cut), 400 free relay (sixth, 3:00.72) and 200 free relay (7th, 1:22.85).
