RESULTS
DETROIT - The Wayne State University swimming and diving teams held their final dual meet of the season on Friday night at the Matthaei against the University of Findlay.
The WSU men's team won 99-33, while the women came away with a 95-50 victory.
In addition, the programs recognized their senior class -
Cassie Chetosky,
Sara Franklin,
Ana Gonzalez Pena,
Meghan Jaworski and
Agata Zalewska on the women's team, and
Ben Dueweke,
Alex Guymer, and
Matt Victor for the men's squad.
Among the highlights of the meet was
Andrey Seryy setting a pool record in the 100 freestyle (44.44).
Jimmy Lee earned an NCAA “B” cut in the 200 individual medley (1:56.08), as did
Joaquin Abascal Gallegos in the 100 butterfly (51.29).
Earning “B” cuts for the women's team were
Alycen Wiacek in the 1000 free (10:45.16),
Carol Azambuja in the 200 IM (2:10.07) and 100 backstroke (58.89), and
Ashley Corriveau in the 100 free (52.38).
WSU will host a diving invitational tomorrow morning.
