Udanoh selected GLIAC South Division Player of the Week

Warrior center honored for third time this season.

Wayne State University senior Ike Udanoh (Detroit, Mich./Warren Woods Tower) has been selected as GLIAC South Division Player of the Week for the third time this season.

The 6-8 center was instrumental in the Warriors taking both games on their Upper Peninsula trip last weekend. He tallied 19 points and seven rebounds in the win at Northern Michigan on Thursday. Udanoh followed with 15 points and nine rebounds in WSU's win at Michigan Tech on Saturday.

He also made 4-of-4 from the foul line in the final 20 seconds to seal the win over the Huskies.

For the week, Udanoh shot 50 percent from the field (9-18) and 94.1 percent from the charity stripe (16-17), while recording a pair of blocks.

Among the national leaders in both rebounding and double-doubles, he is currently second in the GLIAC in rebounding (9.5 rpg), fifth in scoring (16.3 ppg), tied-for-12th in steals (1.4 spg), and 15th in free throw percentage (79.3).

The Warriors host Northwood this Saturday at 3 p.m.
