Indianapolis -- The Wayne State Warriors men's tennis team (10-6 overall) took a break from GLIAC play and took on the first of two regional foes from the GLVC Friday at Indianapolis and triumphed 
8-1 over the Greyhounds.
The Warriors and UIndy (10-5) ranked eight and ninth in the Midwest Region, respectively, according to the latest ITA/NCAA poll. 
Junior 
Thomas Ducret defeated the Greyhounds' Trevor Cox 6-3, 6-4. Cox had beaten Ducret at the ITA Regional in September. 
Ducret's win also led a sweep of all six singles flights for the Warriors. 
Melvin Joseph had a 6-1, 6-1 victory at fourth singles over UIndy's Nick Reinhart.
The teams of 
Jason Chen and 
Michael FitzGerald at second doubles and Ducret and 
Oscar Gamarra at third doubles posted victories for WSU.
The Warriors will take on the region's fifth-ranked Lewis Flyers on Saturday at 12 Central (1 p.m. Eastern).
