DETROIT -- The Wayne State University men's tennis team (9-5 overall, 6-1 GLIAC) recorded a 7-2 victory over visiting Grand Valley State University (13-8 overall, 8-2 GLIAC) Sunday at the WSU Multipurpose Indoor Facility.
The Warriors won all three doubles matches by identical 8-2 scores.
WSU recorded straight set singles wins at No. 1 (
Aman Gill), No. 5 (
Michael FitzGerald) and No. 6 (
Jason Chen), while
Melvin Joseph claimed a three-set win at the fourth flight.
Wayne State will conclude the regular season with four road matches in a five day period starting with a Friday match at Lake Erie.
