DETROIT, Mich. -- The Wayne State University women's tennis team returns home for three home matches in three days, beginning with a 3 p.m. Friday match against Tiffin University. The Warriors continue their homestand Saturday with a 10 a.m. matchup against Ohio Dominican University, before wrapping up the weekend on Sunday with a 10 a.m. contest against Ashland University.
Wayne State is 4-1 to start the season, having faced many of the GLIAC elite in the first two weeks of the season. WSU earned road victories over Findlay, Ferris State and Grand Valley, while only losing at undefeated Northwood University.
Friday's match against Tiffin holds some significance as it is head coach
Sheila Snyder's 400th career match as the Wayne State women's tennis coach.

Yahsha Moore (West Bloomfield, Mich. / West Bloomfield) was named GLIAC Women's Tennis "Athlete of the Week" on Wednesday after she went 5-1 overall in helping Wayne State earn road victories over the Bulldogs and Lakers last weekend. It was the first time in her career that she had received the weekly conference award.

Anne Li Briand (Repentigny, Que. / École Secondaire Félix-Leclerc) recently passed the 100-win milestone after collecting two victories over Grand Valley last Sunday. She is 8-0 (4-0 in both doubles and singles) to start the season, playing at No. 1 doubles and No. 4/5 singles.
Following the trio of home matches, the Warriors take a break from the conference schedule and head for the ITA Midwest Regional Tournament, held from Sept. 27-29 in Indianapolis, Ind.
