GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Wayne State University men's swimming and diving squad topped Calvin, 132-106, on Friday evening. The Warriors won their second-straight meet and collected nine first-place finishes of the 13 events against the Knights, six individual and two relays.
RELAY RESULTS- The quartet of freshman
Dmytro Drobnych (Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine), senior
Jayson Hansen (Grand Blanc, Mich.), freshman
Rasmus Olsen (Kastrup, Denmark) and senior
Ben Winn (Washington, Mich. / Romeo) placed first in the 200 medley relay with a mark of 1:35.21.
- Wayne State earned first in the 200 freestyle relay with the foursome sophomore
Tyler Roshak (Farmington Hills, Mich. / Harrison), senior
Eric Gensheimer (Farmington, Mich.), sophomore
Josh Schacht (Schoolcraft, Mich. / Mattawan) and Hansen in a mark of 1:24.61.
INDIVIDUAL RESULTS- Gensheimer recorded two first-place finishes in the 50 freestyle with a time of 21.47 and the 100 freestyle (47.62), while Schacht placed second in both event with marks of 21.56 and 47.63, respectively.
- Roshak won the 200 freestyle in 1:46.72, while Olsen notched a second-place finish with a time of 1:48.13.

Ahmed Ahmed (Alexandria, Egypt) won the 1650 freestyle with a mark of 16:31.88, and senior
Kris Hector (Shelby Twp., Mich. / Utica Eisenhower) finished third in 17:40.64.
- Olsen was victorious in the 100 butterfly touching the finish line in 52.06, while Roshak placed second with a time of 52.73 and junior
Mitch Bohr (Novi, Mich. / Walled Lake Western) finished fourth in 54.61.
- Freshman
Blake Wheeler (Holland, Mich. / West Ottawa) made his collegiate debut with a win in the 400 IM (4:19.48), and Bohr placed third in 4:26.83.
- Drobnych placed first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 51.28.
- Hansen garnered a first-place finish in the 100 backstroke with a mark of 58.01, while senior
Aryell Pasternak (Sterling Heights, Mich. / Warren De La Salle) placed third (1:05.96).
- Sophomore
Khayman Jones (Adrian, Mich.) earned a second-place finish in the one-meter diving with a score of 244.20. Freshman
Ethan Schmidt (South Lyon, Mich. / East) competed in his first collegiate meet, placing third in the three-meter diving (223.30), while Jones finished fourth (190.70).
UP NEXT- WSU will travel to Ypsilanti, Mich. to compete in the Eastern Michigan Invitational on Dec. 4-5. The opening night is slated for 6 p.m. at Jones Natatorium.
