                     LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Wayne State university men's tennis team (4-5) continued play in Florida on Saturday morning and topped Florida Southern (3-10), 5-4.
Redshirt senior 
Gopinath Menta's (Hyderabad, India) win at No. 3 singles clinched the victory for the Warriors.
In doubles, WSU took two of the three flights.  Senior 
Trey Keating (Troy, Mich.) and freshman 
Luke Ruocco (Lewes, England) fell 8-5.  Junior 
Mohamed Fazyl Kechai (Paris, France) and Menta won their fourth consecutive match at No. 2 doubles.  The duo have also won six of their last seven contests.  Freshman 
Harvey Reed (Winchester, Hampshire, England) and sophomore 
Ryan Carlson (Armada, Mich.) took their match at the third flight of doubles, 8-3.
Fazyl Kechai dropped his match at No. 1 singles 7-6 (7-3), 2-6, 6-1 and Keating fell at No. 2 singles 6-4, 7-5.
Reed defeated his opponent 1-6, 7-6 (7-0), 7-5 at No. 4 singles.  Carlson also was won his match at No. 5 singles 6-4, 7-5.
Ruocco dropped the final flight of singles but broke serve after facing match point on three occasions.
WSU will face Luther on Sunday afternoon beginning at 2 PM in Orlando, Fla.
