DANVILLE, Ky. -- The Wayne State University women's track and field squad placed third out of 14 schools competing in the Centre College Twilight Meet Friday evening with 98 points.
Highlights from the meet included:
Dazmonique Carr winning the 400m dash in a school record time of 56.55.
Erika Perry winning the hammer throw with a toss of 51.62m (169-04).
Elizabeth Herriman taking first in the javelin with a school-record throw of 41.26m (135-04). Her toss was also an NCAA Provisional distance throw.
Jessie Kluz winning the high jump at 1.65m.
4x100 relay of
Leah Ellis,
Kierra Johnson,
Jewel Wilson and Carr placing second in a time of 48.51 (second fastest in school history).
Elizabeth Herriman finishing third in the shot put with the second best throw in school history at 12.97m.
Kierra Johnson placing third in the 100m dash in a time of 12.62.
Christina Kollien finishing fourth in the 100m hurdles in a time of 14.71, just .01 off the WSU record.
