MIDLAND, Mich. -- Three (3) Wayne State University women's tennis student-athletes received All-GLIAC honors on Sunday after the three-day GLIAC Tournament. Sophomores
Dasha Kuznetsova (Moscow, Russia) and
Liv Peisachovitz (Vaughan, Ont.) earned All-GLIAC Second Team accolades, and junior
Liz Ghellere (Ararangua, Brazil) was an Honorable Mention selection.
Kuznetsova tallied a 7-4 singles record with a 4-3 mark at the first singles flight and went 6-4 at No. 1 doubles with partner, Peisachovitz in conference regular season play. She has a 22-18 career singles record along with a 21-22 career doubles mark.
Peisachovitz garnered a 3-8 singles mark and posted a 7-4 record at the first doubles flight during the fall regular season. She holds an 18-21 career singles mark and is 20-21 in career doubles matches.
Ghellere posted a 5-5 record at the second doubles position and went 5-6 in singles play, primarily at the third singles flight in regular-season play. The junior boasts a 28-23 career singles record and a 28-20 career doubles mark.
The Warriors concluded the fall season with a 7-7 overall record and 6-5 in the GLIAC. Wayne State will begin its spring season in early March.
