                     MIDLAND, Mich. -- The No. 3-seeded Wayne State University men's tennis squad (13-12 overall, 7-2 GLIAC) fell to No. 2-seeded Grand Valley State, 5-0, in the semifinal match of the GLIAC Tournament on Saturday afternoon at the Midland Tennis Center.
 
DOUBLES RESULTS
- Senior 
Mohamed Fazyl Kechai (Paris, France) and freshman 
Derek Sammons (Coldwater, Mich.) were beat by Andrew Bole and Nicholas Urban, 8-6, at the third doubles flight, while junior 
Ryan Carlson (Armada, Mich.) and sophomore 
Harvey Reed (Winchester, England) lost in a close, 8-6, match against Jack Heiniger and Sebastien Lescoulie at No. 2 doubles.
- Junior 
Clement Charriere (Marseille, France) and freshman 
Taylor Vane (Southampton, England) fell, 8-5, to Alex van de Steenoven and Zach Phillips at the first doubles position.
 
SINGLES RESULTS
- Vane was defeated in two sets (6-2, 6-2) to Lescoulie at the third singles flight, and Kechai recorded a 6-1, 6-1, loss to Steenoven at No. 1 singles.
 
UP NEXT
- WSU will compete in the third-place match against Northwood on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. at the Midland Tennis Center.
