GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Wayne State University men's swimming and diving team (3-1 overall) recorded a 137-104 triumph Friday night at Calvin College. The Division III Knights were ranked 17th nationally by the CSCAA.
RELAYS
WSU won the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:33.25. The winning quartet consisted of junior
Dima Drobnych (Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine), sophomore
Sasha Palazzo (Verona, Italy), junior
Rasmus Olsen (Kastrup, Denmark), and senior
Tyler Roshak (Farmington Hills, Mich. / Harrison).
The Warriors also took first in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:25.89. The winning foursome featured sophomore
Ryan Katulski (Novi, Mich.), Roshak, Drobnych and Olsen.
INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONS
Sophomore
Leonardo de Oliveira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) won the 1650 free in a time of 16:36.17, and finished second in the 500 free (4:50.28).
Katulski took first in the 50 free (20.92), and second in the 100 free (46.88).
Sophomore
Joao Martimbianco Ribeiro (Sao Paulo (Divinolandia), Brazil) placed first in the 400 IM (4:05.44).
Senior
Khayman Jones (Adrian, Mich.) won both the one-meter diving event (257.00), and the three-meter board (295.40).
Olsen won the 100 fly (50.72), while Riberio took second (53.53).
Roshak won the 100 free (46.80), while Drobnych claimed the top spot in the 100 back (50.27).
Palazzo took first in the 100 breast (57.51), and placed second in the 200 free (1:47.27).

Wayne State's next meet will be the Eastern Michigan Invitational on Dec. 1-2.
