DETROIT -- The Wayne State University men's tennis team (7-10, 4-3 GLIAC), shutout Michigan Tech (1-11, 0-8 GLIAC) 9-0 in GLIAC conference play on Friday held on the athletic campus at Wayne State University.
SINGLES RESULTS
- Mats Westkamp (Born, Germany) defeated his No. 1 counterpart 6-0, 6-2.

Clement Charriere (Marseille, France) shut out the Huskie's No. 2 single's player 6-0, 6-0.

Taylor Vane (Southampton, England) beat Michigan Tech's No. 3 singles player 6-1, 6-1.

Griffin Mertz (Farmington Hills, Mich. / North Farmington) won his No. 4 singles match 6-1, 6-0

Ryan Carlson (Armada, Mich.) and
Nicholas Ang (Rochester, Mich.) won their No. 5 and No. 6 singles match 6-0, 6-0 to complete the singles sweep of the Huskies.
DOUBLES RESULTS
- Westkamp and Vane won their No. 1 doubles match, defeating the Huskies No. 1 doubles team 8-2.
- The duo of Charriere and Mertz beat the Huskie's No. 2 doubles team 8-1.
- Carlson and
Harvey Reed (Winchester, Hampshire, England) won their No. 3 doubles match 8-2.

- The Warriors continue conference play, coming back home to face Lake Superior State University (7-11, 1-7 GLIAC). Match is scheduled for Saturday, April 15, 2017, starting at 10am at the WSU Tennis Courts.
