ALLENDALE, Mich. -- The Wayne State University men's tennis team (6-9, 3-2 GLIAC), was beaten by Grand Valley (15-6, 5-1 GLIAC) 3-6 in GLIAC conference play on Saturday in Allendale, Mich.
SINGLES RESULTS
- Mats Westkamp (Born, Germany) (4-6, 3-6), and
Taylor Vane (Southampton, England) (6-1, 6-7, 10-12) was beaten by GVSU's No. 1 singles player, and No. 3 singles player, respectively.

Clement Charriere (Marseille, France) (6-4, 6-1), and
Griffin Mertz (Farmington Hills, Mich. / North Farmington) (6-2, 0-6, 6-1), defeated Grand Valley's No. 2 and No. 4 singles players, respectively.

Luke Ruocco (Lewis, England) (2-6, 0-6), and
Harvey Reed (Winchester, Hampshire, England) (1-6, 3-6), lost their No. 5 and 6 matches to the Lakers, respectively.
DOUBLES RESULTS
- Westkamp and Vane dropped their No. 1 doubles match to the Lakers 8-5.
- The duo of Charriere and Mertz lost to Grand Valley's No. 2 doubles team 8-6.
- Reed and
Ryan Carlson (Armada, Mich.) won their No. 3 doubles match 9-7.
