DETROIT – The Wayne State University women's swimming and diving team fell in its first dual meet of the 2018 calendar year, dropping a close 159-141 contest to GLIAC foe Grand Valley State at the Matthaei Natatorium on Saturday.'
RELAYS
The Warriors won the 400 medley relay and took second in the 400 freestyle relay. In the medley relay, sophomore

Lezlie Bueno Estrada completed the event in a top time of 3:57.38. In the 400 free relay, senior

INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONS
Koh was the winner in the 100 backstroke (1:06.75) and the 200 breaststroke (2:22.16).
Groteler took the 200 butterfly (2:08.57) and the 100 butterfly (57.68). In the 50 free, Bueno Estrada with the top performer with the 50 free (24.77) and the 100 free (53.85).
Sophomore
Mia Teifer claimed the 3-meter diving event (256.73).
OTHER TOP PERFORMANCES
Senior
Meghan Lamb claimed second place in the 200 yard freestyle (1:57.33), while freshman
Amanda Hurchalla took second in the 1-meter diving event (262.87).
Sophomore
Kate Svisco was the runner-up in the 200 IM (2:11.21).
