Women's Swimming Announces First Three Recruits For 2026-27

DETROIT -- Wayne State University women's swimming and diving head coach Sean Peters, who enters his 30th season this fall, has announced his first recruits for the 2026-27 season.  Coming to WSU this fall are Maddie Dicks (Farmington Hills, Mich. / North Farmington), Giulia Radovici (Saint-Jean-de-Crieulon, France / School Rosa Luxemburg) and Mary-Katherine Wayne (Milan, Mich.).

High School:  A 2026 graduate of North Farmington High School ... was a four-year letterwinner for coach Mike Harfoot ... qualified for the state meet all four years in the fly and last three years in the backstroke ... placed eighth in the 100 finals at the 2025 MHSAA Division 2 state meet in a time of 59.19 (58.98 in prelims) ... finished 15th in the 100 back finals (1:00.88 in prelims) ... placed 12th in the 100 fly finals (58.91 in prelims) and 13th in the 100 back finals (1:01.21) as a junior ... finished ninth in the 100 fly finals (58.76) and 12th in the 100 back finals (1:00.11) in 2023 ... placed 13th in the 100 fly finals (59.94) as a freshman ... served as a team captain as a senior (fall of 2025) ... swam personal-bests for 100 back (59.44) and 100 fly (57.91) on the same day at the 2026 Michigan ULTRA Championship ... posted a personal-best time of 2:09.69 for 200 back at the 2025 Michigan ULTRA ... recorded a 200 fly personal-best time of 2:09.27 at the 2026 MCSA Senior Cup Championship ... swims during the summer for Farmington Glen Aquatics and coach Drew Hanz.
