Box Score DETROIT -- The Wayne State University men's tennis team (0-3 overall) lost its match, 7-0, at Western Michigan University (8-1 overall) on Wednesday afternoon at the West Hills Athletic Club.
 
DOUBLES
 
Finishing first was junior David Solar (Prague, Czech Republic) and freshman Joe Steele (Beverly Hills, Mich.), who lost their No. 3 doubles match 6-2.
 
Freshman Daniel Grey (Wiesbaden, Germany) and junior Donovan Nguyen (Shelby Township, Mich. / Utica) went second and fell in No. 2 doubles 6-4.
 
Sophomore Dom Spicer (London, England) and sophomore Luke Laws (Sunderland, England) lost their No. 1 doubles match 6-4.
 
SINGLES
 
In No. 1 singles, Spicer fell 6-4, 6-2.
 
Grey fell in No. 2 singles 7-5, 7-5 and in No. 3 singles, Solar lost 7-5, 6-2.
 
In No. 4 singles, Laws fell 7-6 (7-3), 6-4.
 
Sophomore Ryan Okonski (Stevensville, Mich. / St. Joseph) lost in No. 5 singles 6-1, 6-1.
 
In No. 6 singles, Nguyen retired due to an injury.
