Wayne State Announces Fan Policy For Spring Sports

DETROIT -- The Wayne State University Department of Athletics has updated its fan policy for sports currently in season after the GLIAC Council of Presidents and Chancellors voted last week to give institutions the option to allow spectators and fans at spring sporting events.

The following guidelines will be enforced at each venue:

No visiting fans will be permitted.

WSU student-athlete guests will be required to always wear masks and be socially distance.

Softball - Each WSU softball student-athlete will receive four complimentary admissions (per pass list) for each home game date.
Be at least 20 feet away from the field of play.
No intermingling between guests and student-athletes/coaches before, during, and after contests.
There will be designated spaces to watch the game.
All guests will be required to complete the WSU Daily Screener form at point of entry before being allowed into the venue.

Baseball - Each WSU baseball student-athlete will receive three complimentary admissions (per pass list) for each home game date.
Be at least 20 feet away from the field of play.
No intermingling between guests and student-athletes/coaches before, during, and after contests.
There will be designated spaces to watch the game.
All guests will be required to complete the WSU Daily Screener form at point of entry before being allowed into the venue.

Tennis (men's and women's) - Each WSU tennis student-athlete will receive four complimentary admissions (per pass list) for each home game date if the match is outdoors.
Be at least 20 feet away from the tennis courts.
No intermingling between guests and student-athletes/coaches before, during, and after matches.
There will be a designated area to watch the match.
All guests will be required to complete the WSU Daily Screener form at point of entry before being allowed into the venue.

Volleyball - Each WSU volleyball student-athlete will receive four complimentary admissions (per pass list) for the April 3rd home match.
Be at least 20 feet away from the court.
No intermingling between guests and student-athletes/coaches before, during, and after contests.
There will be assigned area to sit and watch the match.
All guests will be required to complete the WSU Daily Screener form at point of entry before being allowed into the venue.
All guests must pass a temperature check prior to admittance.
