DETROIT -- Five members of the Wayne State University baseball team were recognized on the All-GLIAC Teams, which were announced on Wednesday.

Graduate student starting pitcher Dillon McInerney (Richmond, Mich.) and redshirt junior outfielder Hunter DeLanoy (Hartland, Mich.) were voted to the All-GLIAC First Team, while junior outfielder Rudy Ramirez (Brighton, Mich.) was an All-GLIAC Second Team selection.  Senior shortstop Jacob Finkbeiner (Saline, Mich.) and senior relief pitcher Jack Schmidt (Fishers, Ind. / Indianapolis Cathedral) were named to the All-GLIAC Honorable Mention Team.

McInerney started nine games and went 5-3 with a 2.08 ERA.  He struck out 42 batters over 60 and 2/3 innings and collected two complete games, while opponents hit .227 against the right-hander.  The team captain had a sub-one ERA until May and was named GLIAC Pitcher of the Week on two occasions (April 26 and May 3).  He tossed a nine-inning complete game victory at Purdue Northwest (4/30), allowing two runs and striking out six.  Another top performance from McInerney came at Saginaw Valley State (4/23), where he did not allow an earned run in seven innings with five strikeouts.

In 30 games, Ramirez hit .345 with five doubles, two triples and four home runs, while driving in 18 runs.  He posted a .586 slugging percentage and a .380 on-base percentage. Ramirez did not make an error in 26 chances in the outfield and had two assists.  The left fielder had nine multiple-hit games, including a five-hit game at Purdue Northwest (5/1) and registered six multiple-RBI contests.  He helped the Green & Gold win on Senior Day by going 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI.

Finkbeiner played in all 36 games and hit .279 with nine doubles, a triple and two home runs, while driving in 26 runs.  He finished the regular season with a .411 slugging percentage and a .389 on-base percentage.  The shortstop totaled 30 runs and 53 total bases.  He had nine multiple-hit games, plus seven multiple-RBI contests.  The team captain recorded a .950 fielding percentage, making eight errors in 159 chances.
