Sumrall Places 15th At NCAA Championships in 60m dash

Warrior junior missed All-American honors by .03 seconds.

PITTSBURG, Kan. -- Wayne State University junior sprinter Makayla Sumrall (Roseville, Mich.) placed 15th in the prelims of the 60m dash at the NCAA Division II national championships earlier today.

Sumrall ran a 7.58 (7.575) which was fourth in her heat.  Only the top eight times, out of the 19 competitors, advanced to Saturday's finals.

She was the first Warrior to compete at nationals since hurdler Karrington Seals finished 10th in the 60m hurdles event at the 2018 NCAA Championships.
