Karter Fitzpatrick Earns Third Pitcher of the Week Honor

The right-hander tossed a complete game vs. GVSU on Friday.

DETROIT -- Junior Karter Fitzpatrick (Monroe, Mich. / Carleton Airport) was named GLIAC Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season as announced by the league on Monday.

He worked a compete game in game one on Friday to improve to 5-0 on the season. Fitzpatrick allowed an unearned run on four hits and two walks, while striking out a pair. He helped the first-place Warriors win three of four from the Lakers.

Fitzpatrick is tied for the league lead with five wins and is third with a 2.75 ERA.

The honor is WSU's seventh weekly awards of the season. Noah Miller and Ryan Korolden swept the awards on April 11. Karter Fitzpatrick was named GLIAC Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 22 and March 21, while Chris Tanderys earned GLIAC Player of the Week honors on March 7 and Korolden collected hist first weekly recognition on March 14.
