WSU Athletics Announces Basketball Broadcast Crews for 2023-24

DETROIT -- The Wayne State University Department of Athletics would like to announce its basketball broadcast crews for the upcoming 2023-24 season.

All men's basketball contests (both home and away) will air live on WDTK - The Patriot (1400 AM / 101.5 FM).  Fans can also stream the action online at PatriotDetroit.com.  This will be the 22nd consecutive season WSU basketball has been aired on 1400 AM.

Kevin Brechmacher returns for his eighth season calling the WSU men's games on WDTK.  He will be joined on the broadcast of home games by either Chuck Key (2014-18), Marcus Moore (2014-18) or Andy Dold (1998-2002), all former Warriors.

In addition, every men's and women's basketball GLIAC contest will be televised on FloSports (flohoops.com) per the GLIAC agreement with FloSports.  In addition, all home non-conference games for both genders will also be on FloHoops.

For the home women's basketball games, either Joe Abramson or Brady Beedon will be handling the play-by-play duties for FloHoops.   The color commentator position has not yet been finalized.

In addition, the WSU Department of Athletics has partnered with The PreP for streaming home athletic events for the upcoming year.

"We are excited to elevate our media production services starting this year by partnering with The PreP for all home football and home men's and women's basketball contests," stated WSU Director of Athletics Erika Wallace this past August.  "This will highlight the Wayne State brand moving forward within the media market and within Division II.  My hope would be to expand these production services for all home contests in the near future."
