KENTWOOD, Mich. -- Competing in its final event of the calendar year, the Wayne State University men's swimming and diving team beat six other schools to win Davenport's Don Kimble Invitational on Sunday night. The Warriors racked up 1,051 points and seven first-place finishes for the three-day event.
"I was really impressed overall with our Warriors," said head coach
Sean Peters. "We really stepped things up against some fantastic athletes and programs from all over the region. I think both the women and men came in with high expectations, and while we still have a lot more to do this season, this was a wonderful overall experience."
