DETROIT -- In its first meet of 2024, the Wayne State University men's swimming and diving team fell 128-115 to No. 17 Saginaw Valley State on Saturday afternoon inside the Matthaei Natatorium.
"The men faced a daunting task ahead of them and really found a way to compete at a very high level," said head coach
Sean Peters. "We did have a few swimmers recovering from illness, but I was impressed with their determination and enthusiasm. I was also very impressed with divers

Wayne State will be back at home on Saturday, January 13 to battle another GLIAC squad in Grand Valley State. The Lakers are ranked fourth in the nation by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) poll. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. inside the Matthaei.
