Softball Program Announces 2024 Prospect Camp Date

The Wayne State University softball program will host a one-day Prospect Camp on Sunday, August 11 at the Gary L Bryce Field/WSU Softball Stadium from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.  Check-in time is from 8:15 a.m. until 8:45 a.m.  You can register online by clicking here.

Camp Information
The camp is designed for players with graduation dates of 2025, 2026 and 2027. 

Cost:  $95

Site:  Wayne State Softball Complex - Gary L. Bryce Field
In case of rain, the camp will be held in the Doris J. and Donald L. Duchene, Sr. Athletic Facility

What to bring:  Helmet, glove, bat, cleats, gym shoes/turf shoes, water and a lunch

Camp features include:  Work with the Wayne State coaching staff, along with current 2024-2025 Warrior softball student-athletes; opportunity to demonstrate offense, defense, pitching, catching and base running through participation in drill work in the morning; live Q/A with softball student-athletes during station rotation; live games in the afternoon; and a WSU camp t-shirt.

Schedule of Events:

8:15 a.m. to 8:59 a.m. - Registration in Softball Lobby

9:00 a.m. to 9:10 a.m. - Introductions in Softball Grandstands

9:15 a.m. to 9:20 a.m. - Warm-up at Respective Station Location

9:20 a.m. to 11:58 a.m. - Morning Skills Showcase Rotations

12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. - Lunch Break (please bring a lunch or snack)

1:00 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. - Afternoon Live Game Play

3:25 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. - Wrap-up in Softball Grandstands

All individuals must have completed the WSU Sports Consent/Liability Waiver Form and Parent & Athlete Concussion Information Sheet before being allowed to participate.  Please turn in at registration on the day the of camp.  The sports medicine forms can be downloaded by clicking here
