KENTWOOD, Mich. -- Kicking off the 2025-26 season at the swimming-only Davenport Invitational on Friday and Saturday, the Wayne State University women's swimming and diving program was victorious in 10 of the 17 events it competed in. The Warriors paced the five-team field with a total of 1,020.5 points.
"The meet was a great success for the Warriors," said head coach
Sean Peters. "We went in with an open mind and wanted to gauge where we are at, and I think there is a lot of potential and there were successful performances. I didn't expect too much, as it is our first meet, but i definitely think that the goods were good, and the 'needs improved' will get there. Either way, we learned a lot this weekend, and happy we are under way."
