ROME, Ga. -- Luis Klaus (Brühl, Germany) and
Harry Forsyth (Wamberal, New South Wales, Australia) of the Wayne State University men's tennis squad saw action in the second day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Cup on Friday, October 17, at the Rome Tennis Center.
After falling in a hard-fought 7-5, 6-4 match in the opening round of the ITA Cup, the WSU pairing was matched with Daniil Felker and Carel Wessel of the University of Texas at Tyler in the West Draw Stage. Felker and Wessel entered the tournament as the No. 3-seeded team.
The WSU duo battled in the first set, as the two squads went back and forth with Wessel and Felker nabbing a 7-6 (7-5) nail-biting victory. Klaus and Forsyth fought in the second set as well but fell short 6-4.

Klaus and Forsyth will move to the South Draw Stage to face Germano Setti and Matthew Earle of Midwestern State University on Saturday, October 18, at 5:30 PM.
