DETROIT -- The Wayne State University men's tennis squad hosted its Third Annual Mike Kneale Memorial Doubles Tournament to close the fall portion of the 2025-26 campaign on Friday.
WSU welcomed a pair of regional foes in the University of Findlay and Tiffin University. The Green and Gold notched 10-9 mark during the event, with the pairing of
George Day (Southampton, United Kingdom) and
Thomas Mathys (Grimisuat, Switzerland) tallying a 3-1 record and finishing as the tournament's runner-up. The duos of
Luis Klaus (Brühl, Germany) and
Harry Forsyth (Wamberal, New South Wales, Australia / The McDonald College [Mississippi College]) along with
Sam Knowles (North Shields, Tyne and Wear, England) and
Tom Wasner (Altenholz, Germany) each went 2-1. Wayne State will host both the Dragons and the Oilers for a pair of matches in February.
