FROM HEAD COACH GRANT LOFDAHL
"These women worked extremely hard from June to November, and to fall short of our goals in the end is a bitter pill to swallow. Tenth place is not what we had hoped and trained for, but this region is incredibly deep and talented. Credit to the nine teams that beat us."

"Ava (Peters) had a fantastic freshman season and ran a strong race at Parkside. She has been very tough and consistent, and was one of the top true-freshman in the region with a top-30 finish. Robin (Bresolin) has poured her heart and soul into this program for the past five years, and I am really proud of her for how far she's come. Her final cross country race was definitely her best one. Aubrey (Migoski) has had a nice career and has made our team much better. She left it all on the course and did a nice job leading younger teammates. Emilee (Rudlaff) and Anna (Gdowski) stuck with the race plan and competed hard in their first regional meet, and the experience they gained will be valuable down the road."

"One race does not define a season and one season does not define a program. We have a great group of human beings in WSU Cross Country, and we are proud of all the time and effort this group has put in. They can hold their heads high, regardless of the numbers on the regional result page."

UP NEXT
The Warriors will wait for the NCAA Championships selection to see if the squad earns an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships, or if an student-athlete claims one of the 24 individual slots.
