CANTON, Ohio -- Playing its final tournament of the 2024-25 regular season, the Wayne State University women's golf team is in second place (309, +21) among nine squads after day one of Walsh's Cav Classic at Glenmoor Country Club. Individually, three Warriors sit within the top 10 including
Sabel Imesch (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich. / Grosse Pointe South),
Claudia Portillo (Madrid, Spain / IES Ortega y Gassett) and
Ting-Yu Kuo (Taipei, Taiwan / Taipei Municipal Zhong-zheng Senior).
"Really like where we're at after day one," said head coach
Larry Hamilton. "We definitely would've liked to get a couple of them back that we left out there, but feel good heading into the final round tomorrow."
