DETROIT -- The No. 23-ranked Wayne State University women's tennis team will travel to Michigan's Upper Peninsula to face Lake Superior State University and Michigan Tech University.  The Green and Gold will compete against the Lakers on Friday, April 4, at 2:00 PM, before battling with MTU on Saturday, April 5, at 12:00 PM.

LAST TIME OUT
The Warriors nabbed two more GLIAC victories, as they defeated Davenport 7-0 and Grand Valley State 5-2.

Against the Panthers, WSU prevailed in all three matches of doubles competition, earning the first point of the match, followed by a sweep in singles competition to down the visitors.

Wayne State won two-of-three doubles matches vs. the Lakers, and claimed four wins in singles to best GVSU 5-2.

SCOUTING THE LAKERS
Lake Superior State is led by Mike Andrews.  Andrews, an LSSU graduate, is in his first season at the helm for the Lakers.  The Iron Mountain, Mich. native has guided Lake Superior State to a 5-6 overall ledger, and a 2-2 mark in GLIAC play.

WSU topped LSSU 7-0 in last year's contest, and has won the previous 17 meetings.  The Lakers will aim to continue their winning ways after downing Purdue Northwest 7-0 and Roosevelt 6-1 last weekend.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
Heading into its match with Ferris State, MTU owns a 4-4 record overall and a 2-2 ledger against GLIAC opponents.  Both of the squad's conference wins came last weekend as the Huskies defeated RU 4-3 and PNW 6-1. Last season, Wayne State prevailed over Michigan Tech 6-1 and has won the previous seven matches.

Riley Schreck serves as the interim head coach of the MTU women's tennis program, helping it to the previously mentioned 4-4 record.
