Kuo Shoots Another 73 on Day Two of NCAA Championship Finals

The Freshman carded five bogeys, four birdies and nine pars.

BOULDER CITY, Nev. -- Freshman Ting-Yu Kuo (Taipei, Taiwan / Taipei Municipal Zhong-zheng Senior) of the Wayne State University women's golf team fired another one-over 73 on Wednesday for round two of the 2025 NCAA Championship Finals.  At 146 (+2) through 36 holes, Kuo is tied-for-36th among the 95-player field with just one round to play.  Thursday, the rookie Warrior will tee off at 10:10 a.m. pacific time.

After only two holes that didn't result in a par on Tuesday (one double bogey, one birdie), Kuo's second day was much busier.  The rookie carded a bogey on holes one, three, eight, nine, and 14 to go with a birdie on holes two, 10, 13, and 16.

At 11 under, Madison Murr of California State San Marcos leads the field by five strokes thanks to an eight-under 64 in round two.  Murr shot a 69 on Tuesday to give her a two-day total of 133.

Team wise, the top eight teams (which will move on to the match play portion) in order are currently California State San Marcos, Dallas Baptist, Anderson, Flagler, Findlay, West Texas A&M, Wingate, Henderson State (tied), Central Missouri (tied), and CSU East Bay (tied).
