WSU Athletics Announces 2025 Football Themes

DETROIT – The Wayne State University Department of Athletics has announced its themes for the 2025 football season, which begins on Thursday, September 4 with the home opener against Tiffin.

WSU will also entertain in-region foe Quincy, before hosting three GLIAC rivals in Michigan Tech, Davenport and Grand Valley State.

 
Football Season Tickets On Sale
Football fans can purchase season tickets for just $60 (plus taxes and fees).  
Individual game tickets are now on sale for $15 per game, or a senior ticket for $10 per game. 

Thursday, Sept. 4 vs. Tiffin (6 p.m.) - Black Out - We will celebrate our night game with everything lighting up and glowing as the sun sets.

Saturday, Sept. 27 vs. Quincy (1 p.m.) - Beach Day - Turn the stadium into a beach party, surf vibes and summer tunes, and your best beach outfit.

Saturday, Oct. 4 vs. Michigan Tech (1 p.m.) - Homecoming and Throwback Day - Welcome back to all Wayne State Alumni, bring back all your vintage Wayne State gear and throw it back to your era.

Saturday, Oct. 18 vs. Davenport (1 p.m.) - Rep the 313 - Show off your Detroit pride.  How do YOU Rep the 313?

Saturday, Nov. 1 vs. Grand Valley State (1 p.m.) - Superhero Day - Our final home game of the regular season.  We will honor our real-life heroes, our local first responders and healthcare workers.  It's also the day after Halloween so come dressed as your favorite Superhero.  We will also recognize our Seniors in their final home game.
